Vice President IT - Healthcare
Recruitment Case Study
The Challenge
Vice President IT - search completed in 12 weeks. Our client, a $35M healthcare customer relationship company providing outsourced call center services, needed a Vice President Information Technology to handle all application and network infrastructure in a 24/7/365 environment. They were looking for someone who had deep healthcare (provider) experience and had strong IT management experience in a call center environment. Due to the current IT organizational structure, the leader would need both applications and infrastructure management experience a difficult combination to find.
Action
We had completed several searches for this client in the past, so we had a strong understanding of their corporate culture. With our unique experience in both healthcare and call center recruiting, we understood the industry and the challenges their business faced. We spent several hours interviewing the CEO, COO, Controller and VP of Human Resources to ensure we understood what essential actions this VP would perform. After our interviews with the executive team, we identified other organizations in the call center, outsourcing and/or healthcare space within a four state region. Targeting the senior IT executive in the small to mid-sized organizations and the second or third in command within larger organizations, we started contacting possible candidates. Using a direct recruiting model, we were able to identify several high-performing individuals who would have a strong ability to fit into our client’s unique culture.
Results
Despite an extensive interview process that extended six weeks, we were able to help our client select the best candidate and finish the search in 12 weeks. The candidate was local, gave notice and started with the company 3 weeks later.
