The Challenge

Find a Global Human Resources Director willing to relocate from the US to the Philippines

Our client, a $350M business process outsourcing firm with locations in the US, Philippines, India, Mexico, Canada and Bulgaria, engaged Sanford Rose Associates – Cleveland East to recruit an human resources executive with strong experience in managing a global workforce. This individual would require strong leadership skills across multiple locations and a diverse workforce, the ability to manage high volume recruitment efforts, and the ability to design and implement HR related processes and procedures across the globe. The company was also looking for the candidate to manage the HR efforts from the Philippines.

Action

With over ten years of providing global recruitment and executive search services to the call center and BPO industry, we had a strong understanding of the type of candidates who would be qualified and interested in a global role. We also had a large database of human resource executive names and contact information to initiate our search. We targeted our recruitment efforts towards 15,000+ employee outsourcing organizations with a global footprint. Focusing on both director and vice president level candidates in the US, the Philippines and India, we were able to build a slate of three candidates, one already in the Philippines and two willing to relocate.

Results

Interviews took place over a four week period and included face-to-face meetings at both the US headquarters and in the Philippines. It was determined that the best candidate was already living in the Philippines working for a competitor. The offer was extended and accepted with an onboarding process initiated two weeks later.
